Experience

Hi! I love math, but most importantly, I love helping people find their own love for math! I achieve this by being patient, compassionate and partnering with my learners so I can meet the academic needs. I have helped many people, who thought they hated math, get an A and even find joy during the process. I am also punctual and deadline-oriented. I am fluent in Chinese, and I am happy to work with international students. I am highly experienced statistics / econometrics tutor. I have always been an A student, especially in Math. I have been a tutor throughout my academic career, and I have also been a teaching assistance in math classes. I earned my Environmental Science and Economics dual degree with a Dean's award. I also received my M.A. in Politics, Economics and Business, with an emphasis in transdisciplinary studies. My expertise include STATA, Excel, Tableau, SPSS, PowerPoint, Prezi, and R. My academic accomplishments include: an Environmental Science award; Dean's list; and presenting papers at national and international conferences. My math background, critical thinking abilities, and strong analytical skills have prepared me to be an expert in data analysis. I appreciate any opportunity to share these skills and knowledge. My past academic projects include: three graduate-level business / data analysis projects. I have worked both individually and in a group. My latest project--entitled "The European Union, Partisan Politics, and Unemployment in Europe: A Paradox of Accountability"--has been accepted to the 22nd International conference of Europeanists, held in Paris this summer, where I will be presenting it to an international audience. I am happy to do intensive tutoring for finals or summer school, or we can go at any pace you are comfortable with. I hope I can help you!
