Experience
I received my bachelor's degree in psychology at Hollins University in Virginia. I also took many courses at the University of Limerick in Ireland. I previously tutored in an after school third grade class of twenty five students. Having that many kids with varying homework meant focusing a lot on time management. I am excited to be able to spend more personal one on one time here, and be able to get through more problems. I currently work at a level fourteen group home where I supervise very challenging and often mentally ill kids. In order to keep them safe and on the right path I have to use very clear instructions. These instructions often must be repeated multiple times. While this instruction is not normally academic in nature, it does require a great amount of patience and creativity that I believe will also be essential here.
